i offer pleasure coaching sessions: either as one off sessions or 3 month or 6 month coaching package
i offer səx-specialised counselling sessions.
you can read more about either here

each session will last between 60-70 minutes.
we will generally start with a check in and then move into a landing practice to support you to connect with your body and tune into what is present for you today.
we will then dive into the topic that is most relevant for you for the bulk of the session. this will include dialogue, somatic inquiry, and exploration of any relevant or supportive practices.
there may be guided gentle movement practice in the session or non-səxual self-touch, depending on whether that is relevant to or supports what we are exploring.
sessions normally end with a summary of what we covered and collaborative exploration of ways forward.

i work with women and vulva-owners who are curious about their own pleasure and aliveness.
i do not take on male clients. my one year integrative səx coaching and education training specifically focused on working with vulva-owners, and their unique physiology, needs and socialisation.
i work with clients with an array of səxual orientations- bisəxual, straight, gay, asexual, pansexual, sapiosexual, questioning.
i have no experience in working with individuals who are transitioning or have transitioned hormonally or surgically, so would recommend working with someone with more experience here.

a package reflects a certain level of commitment to engaging in the work.
you’re essentially saying, yes this is important enough to me to put this time and energy and money into.
a package offers a dedicated, held container over a period of time that lets us drop into the area we wish to explore in a deeper way.
there are beneficial extras in a package that aren’t offered in single sessions: you are able to reach out in between sessions to share wins, doubts, questions and challenges and receive feedback & responses as part of the service. you will receive relevant resources and home-play. you will receive a detailed summary of each session and what we covered, including recommendations.

coaching leans towards developing & sharing practical tools that support you to reach your desired goals, and tends to be more action orientated and future focused. it may be more relevant for you if you want to focus on the tools & ways of being that will drive your life forward or already have a great therapist that you are working with. it can also be great if you have something very particular that you want to focus on.
counselling tends towards understanding and shining light on our patterns, focuses on healing and will look at both past and present concerns. it may be more relevant for you if there are issues in the background that feel stickier and require more unpacking of some past issues.

absolutely not.
alex abides by a strict professional code of ethics that aims to uphold the safety and integrity of the client and session.
whilst we may at times talk about səx and səxuality, sessions are never səxual
it is important to highlight what will NOT happen during a session.
sessions will NOT involve:
nudity
səxual touch
sexual practices
making you talk about things that you don’t want to talk about or that feel ick or too personal
pushing you to explore topics that aren’t relevant to your needs or feel too overwhelming
alex abides by a strict code of ethics and asking you to engage in any of the above would be unethical and an abuse of the power differential that can be present in practitioner-client relationships
you may however, receive homeplay practices that support your intentions and goals. suggested homeplay practices may include explorations in the privacy of your own space and time outside of sessions. these practices are always invitations (i.e. you can elect not to do them) and you do not have to share reflections on these practices if you do not wish to.
-
that is totally okay.
if challenging feelings arise, we pause or slow things down.
sessions are trauma-informed, which means:
there is no pressure to talk about anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy
you always have a choice about what we do in the sessions and what you say
we work at a pace that feels right for you
we take care to listen to our boundaries and not override them
we work collaboratively
we work with the premise that you are the expert on your own life and body. empowering you in that is core to the sessions
-
first off, we work with the belief that you are not an issue to be fixed.
if something is feeling “off” or “not right” in your life, that is important information that we need to get curious about.
we look at issues holistically and explore what may be contributing to that feeling that something is not working. too much stress, poor diet, lack of sleep, lack of fulfilling connection can all derail us.
in terms of how many sessions you will need- every client has different needs, contexts and goals. some women might have a very discrete topic they wish to address that requires 1-2 sessions, others may want to unravel more deeply ingrained patterns and feel that 6 months is needed.
we can discuss this further in a first session.
please note, i do not offer long-term sessions (ie more than a year)

while alex is therapeutically trained and all sessions are trauma-informed, pleasure coaching or sex-specialised counselling is not designed for trauma processing, crisis support, or the treatment of complex trauma, mental health conditions, or medical concerns.
in short, we do not delve into trauma work in these sessions.
these sessions are not a substitute for appropriate trauma therapy, mental health care, or medical support. alex cannot diagnose mental health or medical conditions. if additional or specialised support is needed, referrals may be recommended.
